Yes. Any dog can be trained.
Depending on the age of the dog/pup, habits whether good or bad set-in very early and often stem from their owners own bad habits.
Why would you bother with training then? How would you even get started? Many questions come to mind when thinking about dog training, especially if bad habits have already set-in.
With our methods, we walk through the requirements for your dogs training ensuring that you understand what is required from you (the owner!) and ourselves, in order for the training to be a success.
Step 1:
Understanding the level of training needed.
This involves first understanding the current behaviour of the dog, observing to see how it behaves in certain situations and moving from there. This always raises the question, well How long does it take to work?
Once observations have been made, a plan on how to begin can be put in-place to kick off the training process. Nothing too intense or tedious, just a few things to kick start the process. The timeframe is created to suit the needs.
Step 2:
Monitoring the progress of Step 1
This is critical to see how the dog receives the new training. A few factors to consider:
These factors effect how the rest of the training could proceed, potential problems you could encounter going forward and possible time frames in-which you could be facing to complete the training process.
Step 3:
Let the training evolve.
This is the easiest part, once the initial steps have been complete, you have an idea of how things are going to proceed.
One of the main features of this step is the fact that you can gauge how the dog is handling the training and from there, you can customise certain aspects of the training in order to get the best results for you and your dog.
